Why can't I cancel my order?
Everything on joyzii is made by a person, in rounds — it is not stock pulled off a shelf. The line is money: until you have paid, nothing has been committed but a decision, so the order is yours to cancel. Once you have paid, cancelling means sending money back, and the shop is part of that conversation.
You can cancel on your own while the order is:
- Waiting for the shop to accept
- The shop accepted your order
- Paying — waiting for the money
Notice that “The shop accepted your order” is on that list. That is not a mistake: on joyzii a shop accepts BEFORE you pay, so accepting opens your window to pay — it does not commit your money.
You can also ask the shop to cancel instead, and the shop decides whether to honour it. Before you have paid that is simply the slower of your two options; once you have paid it is the only one. A cancellation request can be sent while the order is:
- The shop accepted your order
- Paying — waiting for the money
- Paid
Past that point (being made, ready, handed over) there is no cancel request any more, because the thing was genuinely made for your order. You can still message the shop — there just is no cancel button on the order page.
Some rounds accept automatically, the moment you place the order, so it can look as though a step was skipped. It does not shorten your right to cancel by a second: the line is payment, not acceptance, and the order stays yours to cancel until you pay.
What IS on a clock is paying, not cancelling. Once the shop has accepted, the order page counts down the time left to pay and shows when it is due. If that time passes, the order is cancelled for you and the piece goes back to the round — see “Why did my order cancel itself?”.
Both buttons live in the same place: open the order from My purchases and look under “Need help?”
