I booked an experience — what now?
An experience on joyzii is a real person's time — a chef cooking at your table, a morning market walk with a local, an afternoon workshop. It is sold in rounds, and what you book is a seat: one seat is one person. The numbers on the round's page are counted from real orders.
The dates are on the round's page before you order. A one-off is one date; several sessions are listed in order, every day stated. Orders close before the first one starts. Where it happens is the line under the price: at the host's (the exact address appears on your order page on the same terms as a pickup) or hosted at your home.
The group size, the ages it suits (“Age note”) and what's included are the shop's own statements, which is why the round's page labels them “As stated by the shop” — we don't check them. If anything is unclear, ask the shop in chat before you book.
Paying works like any order: you order, the shop accepts, then you pay — and the time you are given to pay never runs past the start of the experience.
Once it has taken place the shop confirms on its side, and only then does the “I took part” button appear on your order page — the system won't let the shop confirm before the last session has ended. From that moment you have 2 days (at the host's) or 3 days (hosted at your home) to tell us if it wasn't what was described (see “It didn't arrive, it arrived damaged, or it isn't what was described”).
Cancelling: before you pay, you can cancel on your own for any reason — feeling uneasy is reason enough. After paying it becomes a request the shop decides on, like every order (see “Why can't I cancel my order?”).
Going to a stranger's home, or having a stranger come to yours, is the highest-trust thing on joyzii, and we want to say it plainly: joyzii does not vet, certify or insure hosts. What exists are reviews from people who went, and the order record. Read “Meeting safely” before you book — and if something isn't right, tap “Report this round” at the foot of the round's page.
